Make a difference for kids

September 13, 2016 By Andrea Nelson

Printed Page is donating children's books to East Denver FISH, a food bank that delivers to needy local families.  If a family can't get to a food bank, they probably can't get to a library, either, yet books in the home are the biggest single contributor to a child's academic success.  Traci Sanders, a children's … [Read more...]

Seven years

August 16, 2016 By Dan Danbom

August 16, 2016 is our seventh anniversary.  When we opened, Broadway was under re-construction, the Kindle was the rage, and the economy was in the doldrums.  You would be correct if you guessed we're not MBAs. But here we are seven years later, ranked a top used bookstore in Denver by Westword and a preferred … [Read more...]

The 150-book-a-day habit

July 13, 2016 By Dan Danbom

And you think YOU buy a lot of books... For most of us, book collections are small, personal representations of our tastes, interests and budget.  But there was a time when book collections were a public representation of ego, wealth and acquisitiveness.  It was the golden age of book collecting. The late 19th … [Read more...]

The mystery of Readers Digest

You don't have to spend much time around books before you run into copies of Readers Digest Condensed Books -- lots and lots of copies.  Like the magazine from which they took their name, the Readers Digest Condensed Books were hugely popular.  But we've always wondered why.  Isn't a good book something you want to … [Read more...]

This is not your typical old, musty-smelling used bookstore full of junk paperbacks. Printed Page is cozy and always staffed with the booksellers themselves - knowledgeable, friendly folks. They are glad to let you browse on your own, suggest your next read or help you find a treasured antique.

I met Dan to have him look at an old medical atlas we have. It was not in good enough condition for him to consider having in his store, but he was super nice and gave me ideas for how to get it into the hands of others who may want it. Dan was very honest and kind and I really enjoyed talking with him. Thanks, Dan!
