Sell Books

Sell your book collection at Printed Page Bookshop

Looking to sell your used book collection?  Printed Page Bookshop is your best option!

Are you a book collector looking to sell some or all of your book collection?  Have you inherited a book collection you don’t want?
Are you helping clean out an estate with a book collection?

Printed Page Bookshop is always buying books and book collections. Whether you want to sell a special book collection, or just need to downsize, this is the place for you.

At Printed Page Bookshop, we have people with decades of experience reviewing, assessing, and purchasing books and collections of all sizes and types. We have numerous references from customers and are always happy to share them. Here’s one from Bruce Anderson of Lakewood:  One of the nicest people I have done business with. Dan was polite and professional throughout the entire time. I was liquidating an estate and he treated me very fair. I would not hesitate to do business with him again, he is truly a class act and a great person to work with.

Here’s another:

“I highly recommend Dan Danbom [co-owner]…He is very knowledgeable, and his obvious appreciation for books made it fun and easy to work with him. Mr. Danbom displays a deep sense of ethics as he works with you so you don’t have to worry that you aren’t getting a fair deal.  He is a caring person, and an honest businessman.  I am fortunate to have worked with him.” — Libby, Denver.

Unlike many book stores, we don’t have a daily expenditure limit, we don’t buy books by the pound, and we don’t take books only in trade.

What type of books and collections does Printed Page buy?

If you’re interested in selling your books, keep in mind that we primarily buy hardback books with dust jackets that are free of any kind of damage (e.g., underlining, water damage, missing pages or pieces of the jacket, mildew, loose bindings). Also, not all books come with dust jackets, so there’s an exception.

We also are interested in books in fine bindings, such as those produced by the Easton Press, Franklin Library, First Edition Library and Folio Society.

How do I sell my books or book collection to Printed Page Bookshop?

  • Feel free to send us photos giving us an idea of what you have to sell (Photos of books on shelves are fine; no need to photograph inside pages).
  • You can bring your books to the store anytime, though it is always best to call in advance. Call Dan (303-880-1217) or John (720-979-3878) or send us an email for more information.
  • We also do complimentary house calls, depending on the location and the size of the book collection.

Honoring the book collector

Books aren’t just commodities to us. In many cases, they represent a lifetime of collecting and are a tangible reflection of the person who collected them. We honor that, and realize that the dispersal of a collection is an emotional as well as financial exercise.

Donate your used books to a good home

If you simply want to be done with your books, we can help there, too. We stock a library at the St. Francis Apartments at Cathedral Square – it’s for people formerly experiencing homelessness – and we distribute children’s books through the East Denver FISH food bank.

Interested in becoming a bookseller at Printed Page?

Printed Page Bookshop is a co-op of more than 10 booksellers, and we’re always interested in welcoming new sellers to the mix. We make it easy, inexpensive and fun to become a bookseller. We provide all the back office support you need, including sales tax payments, credit card processing, access to customer lists and marketing, plus a community of fellow booksellers who enjoy sharing their knowledge about books. Booksellers can decide to staff the store for credit or not, depending on their circumstances.

Call Dan (303-880-1217) or John (720-979-3878) for more information, or send us an email.
