Named one of the top three best bookstores in Denver

On second thought…

November 22, 2021 By Dan Danbom

A customer noticed that I was reading Bill Bryson's "At Home: A Short History of Private Life" the other day. He tried to buy it from me. I told him to come back in 75 pages. Good thing, too. Otherwise I would not have learned that Dante Gabriel Rossetti was so overcome with the death of his wife, Elizbeth Siddal, that … [Read more...]

October 21, 2021 By Dan Danbom

A customer at Printed Page today saw a Perry Mason mystery, "The Case of Too Many Murders," and asked aloud what constituted "too many murders." We agreed that even one is too many unless you're talking about the people who call about our cars' extended warranties. A young woman who collects old books settled on a … [Read more...]

Sweet Thursday

July 17, 2021 By Dan Danbom

One of the most important things you can do to preserve and protect your books is to cover the dust jackets with archival acetate -- often referred to as Mylar or Mylinex.  The covers prevent soiling and tears (but they don't protect your books from sunlight, so be careful about that). Bring any four books in on any … [Read more...]

I had a great conversation with Dan while in the store. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve got a great selection of classics and lots of hard to find books. My only complaint is that I spend too much money when I go in!

I adore this little book shop. The proprietors are helpful and knowledgeable. Nice, too. If I'm looking for something specific, a book on the building of the Panama Canal, for example, they find it. I've also gone in to just browse and I always find something I can't live without.

Smartest guy around for knowing who what when of literary works. Small independent very worthy of support. Thanks for all your devotion to the craft of literature!
