A way to remember a book collector

March 22, 2021 By Dan Danbom

Books are such a fundamental part of people.  We are what we read in many respects.  The books we leave behind are a kind of testament to who we were. As a way to remember a book collector, and to honor his or her book collection, you might consider having us purchase the collection and then do a catalog of them.  … [Read more...]

Something in the air

March 22, 2021 By Dan Danbom

There must be something in the air at Printed Page. Following an early morning photo shoot for a couple's wedding pictures, a young man came in to buy books as gifts for his groomsmen. He thought "The Brothers Karamazov" and "Paradise Lost" was superior to a flask or something else cliched and traditional. Then I got … [Read more...]

Bad News, Good News

February 16, 2021 By Dan Danbom

Printed Page has a long relationship with the East Denver FISH foodbank, one of the few food banks in Denver that delivers food to the needy, instead of having the needy come to it.  When recipients call in to schedule a delivery, the call-taker gets the ages of the residents.  If there are children in the home, FISH … [Read more...]

There’s a book fair at a screen near you

January 21, 2021 By Dan Danbom

Like many things, book fairs have gone virtual.  We hope to participate in live, in-person fairs later this summer, but in the meantime, we're going to be exhibiting at the Rocky Mountain Antiquarian Booksellers Virtual Fair, Friday and Saturday, January 22 and 23, which you can visit by going HERE. One bug:  Unlike … [Read more...]

"I Met Another Dead Man Today (and other stories about books and book people)" is our latest chapbook.  Besides serving as a guide for the novice book collector, the 19-page booklet features stories from Printed Page Bookshop that inform and entertain about what happens in the store.  We've printed 250 copies.  They're … [Read more...]

I had a great conversation with Dan while in the store. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve got a great selection of classics and lots of hard to find books. My only complaint is that I spend too much money when I go in!

I adore this little book shop. The proprietors are helpful and knowledgeable. Nice, too. If I'm looking for something specific, a book on the building of the Panama Canal, for example, they find it. I've also gone in to just browse and I always find something I can't live without.
